Returns

We want you to be entirely happy with the wine you have bought from Good Wine Hunter, and we will always do our utmost to make that the case. However, we recognise that sometimes things go wrong, and when that happens, we want you to return the wine to us for replacement or refund. Here's how.

Reasons for returning your wine

Something has gone wrong at our end if:

The wine delivered does not match your order

In this case, please return all bottles unopened, and we will replace or refund them

A bottle or more of wine has been damaged in transit

In this case, we will replace or refund any broken bottle without you returning it; in addition, we will replace or refund any bottle which, while unbroken, has been damaged, for example by wine spilled on the label, but, in this case, we need you to return the damaged bottles unopened; furthermore, even if some of the bottles in the case are undamaged, please feel free to return them unopened for refund, if you so choose

The wine, once opened, is faulty

Wine is faulty if the cork has failed, resulting in a musty taste of wet cardboard; or resulting in oxidised or vinegary wine. In that case, please return all unopened bottles, but not the opened bottle, and we will replace or refund the whole delivery, including the unreturned bottle

Replacement or refund

If you wish to return your wine for any of these reasons listed above, please:

  • Contact us within 14 days of delivery to set the wheels in motion
  • Simple send us an email to mike@goodwinehunter.co.uk telling us you would like to return the wine, quoting the order number on the delivery note, and stating whether you would like the wine to be replaced or refunded.
  • The courier company will then make contact with you to arrange a convenient time to pick up the parcel for return.
  • If you have chosen replacement, we will send it to you as soon as possible but within 30 days of receiving the returned wine. We will pay for the courier.
  • If you have chosen a refund, we will complete the refund to the account you used for the initial purchase, as soon as possible but within 30 days of receiving the returned wine

Changed your mind (cooling off)

If you have simply changed your mind, and no longer want the wine, then please return it:

  • Contact us within 14 days of delivery to set the wheels in motion
  • It does not matter if you have opened the box, but all the bottles must be returned intact.
  • Simply send us an email to mike@goodwinehunter.co.uk telling us you would like to return the wine, quoting the order number on the delivery note.
  • The courier company will then make contact with you to arrange a convenient time to pick up the parcel for return.
  • We will complete the refund to the account you used for the initial purchase, as soon as possible but within 14 days of receiving the returned wine.

Exclusions from refund

We will refund the cost of the wine and, in some circumstances, the cost of the courier, but we cannot refund charges made for reasons such as the following:

  • Express delivery
  • Gift-wrapping
  • Personalisation of any packaging
